Sapiosexuality means being attracted to someone’s intelligence over other factors, like gender or physical appearance. It seemed up the Oscar-winning songwriter’s alley -- “That sounds great, of course, who wouldn’t be?” -- but once he returned to his hotel after that initial chat, Ronson was unaware of how public his coming out had become.
“It sounds like I went on a TV show to be like, ‘Guys, I have some big news,’” he teased. “And the fact that I would ever go on and sort of declare myself as a heterosexual white male a part of any marginalized community was terrifying to me or just like embarrassing. I didn’t really think much of it.”
