President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. has vowed to prioritize the development of the country's agricultural lands as he underscored the importance of its productivity and modernization. ManilaBulletin READ:

Marcos said the development of agricultural land would increase crop yield for the farmers and create a ripple effect across the country.

"I am relentlessly pushing and prioritizing the development of our agricultural lands. I cannot emphasize it enough, but we really need to invest in the development, productivity, and modernization of our agricultural sector," he said. Marcos, who also acts as the Department of Agriculture secretary, honored the many triumphs of the Cordillerans and the challenges they have prevailed upon through the years. He urged them to celebrate with pride and vigor the solidarity, dynamism, and camaraderie that they have."The trust that you have given motivates me to keep going and serve you with passion, strength, and purpose," the President said.

He likewise asked the Cordillerans to support the programs of the Regional Development Council of the Cordillera Administrative Region, which are geared towards inclusive development without destroying the region's natural heritage.
