President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Monday called on the Philippine Army, under its new leadership, to strengthen its interoperability to be a “world-class force.”
Marcos this remarked during the change of command ceremony which saw Lieutenant General Roy Galido formally take over as the new Army chief.
“I look forward to your plans to protect the shared identity that our past and present generations have built and to transform the Army into a world-class force that is a source of our country's security and peace and pride,” he added. "I am confident you will guide the Army to reach more milestones in our campaign in our country to end insurgency and terrorism threats as well as to address the lingering and emerging threats to our national security," Marcos said.
