DAVAO CITY – Noting that conditions seven years ago have been “significantly mitigated or reduced,” President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday issued Proclamation 298, lifting “effective immediately,” former President Rodrigo Duterte’s Proclamation 55 which declared a “state of national emergency on account of lawless violence in Mindanao” in September 2016.
