Marcos said he was also able to speak with the residents themselves, particularly the farmers, to know what they need.
“I hope that they can see na kung anuman ang pinangako namin noong kampanya ay sinusubukan naming itupad lahat ng aming sinasabi, pinagusapan,” he added. “We talked about housing, I talked about MSMEs, I talked about the internet, I talked about power, lahat yan ay tinatrabaho namin nang husto. At nakikita naman ng tao kahit na hindi pa tapos ay talagang mayroon na tayong sinimulan,” the President added.
Marcos said the government continues to work on his promise to bring down the price of rice to P20 per kilo.“Minamalas din tayo sa weather kaya hindi mo matiyak kung ano ‘yung magiging production, ano ‘yung magiging supply. So tingnan natin. Pababa nang pababa [ang presyo], we’ll keep working on it,” Marcos said when asked if there is a timetable to his promise of P20 per kilo rice.
