Malacañang has formally accepted the resignation of Rolen C. Paulino as chairman and administrator of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA). ManilaBulletin

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has accepted Paulino's resignation through a letter signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin dated April 13, two days before the effectivity of the resignation.

Paulino wrote to the President on March 31, tendering his resignation from the post which he took over in March 2022.Paulino announced he was stepping down from the post on April 4. “I have formally tendered my courtesy resignation as Chairman and Administrator of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, effective April 15, 2023, to give the President a free hand to choose who he deems best to steer the SBMA/ Subic Bay Freeport Zone to greater heights in terms of management and new business opportunities,” he said.
