National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director Brig. Gen. Jose Meleciano Nartatez Jr. presided over the turnover and change of
command ceremony for Quezon City Police District, where outgoing chief Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III was replaced by Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan.
Torre came under fire from netizens who accused him of giving special treatment to the ex-cop. He denied the allegation. “I would like to thank you for your dedication and service to the residents of Quezon City. The 3-minute response time and improvement of two Integrated Command and Control Centers under your stint greatly contributed to the crime prevention and crime solution of the city”, said Nartatez.
