PETALING JAYA: Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) will take firm action against errant canteen operators, including ending their contracts, following an incident in which a Mara Junior Science College (MRSM) student was served food that had gotten bad.
Mara chairman Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said that he had asked for a full report from Mara’s management following the incident, which has gone viral on social media.“Although I am overseas, I have directed the deputy director of Mara to investigate this immediately,” he said on Facebook last night.
Asyraf added that Mara would not compromise with “any canteen contractor that takes the preparation of student food lightly”.
