The panel will decide whether President Cyril Ramaphosa has a case to answer regarding the allegations around the theft of a large amount of foreign currency from his farm in 2020.
"The rules state that the panel must consist of three fit and proper, competent, experienced and respected South African citizens which may include a judge, and who collectively possess the necessary legal and other competencies and experience to perform the preliminary assessment of the motion,” says Parliament spokesperson Moloto Mothapo.Mapisa-Nqakula says among those nominated, 12 are retired and serving judges and five are advocates, senior counsels and law academics.
