East Zone concessionaire Manila Water Company has recorded a significant increase in its new water connections since the pandemic, as it expanded its total water service connections to 1,150,297 from August 1997 to December 2022. ManilaBulletin
In 2022 alone, Manila Water installed 33,909 new water service connections which is 56 percent higher than the 21,680 new water service connections in 2021.
Of the 33,909 new water service connections, 33,070 are domestic and 839 are commercial and industrial. The total new domestic water connections translate to 165,350 families with access to 24/7 water supply and quality sanitation services from Manila Water.
