The Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) on Monday, Jan. 16, acquitted former Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) board member Sandra Cam of murder over the killing of Batuan, Masbate Vice Mayor Charlie Yuson III in 2019.

DZBB reported that aside from Cam, her son, Marco Martin Cam, and five others were also acquitted for “failure of the prosecution to prove their guilt beyond reasonable doubt.” The vice mayor was slain while he was having breakfast with some companions at an eatery in Sampaloc, Manila on October 9, 2019.Cam’s legal counsel Atty. Buenaventura Miranda said they expect to get a copy of the decision within the day for the release of the accused, the report added.
