The local government of Manila invited the residents to join the "Manila Citywide Clean Up Drive" on Thursday, June 15.

"Everyone is encouraged to clean alongside their community for a more peaceful and healthy environment for the future," the Manila Public Information Office said.The said activity is in line with the month-long activities of the 452nd celebration of Manila Day. Manilans are also urged to upload photos and videos on their social media accounts using the hashtag #MNLCityWideCleanUP to show support to and encourage other residents to participate in the clean-up drive.

The city government said the activity aims to give the city a clean and orderly Manila Day celebration.
