The City Council of Manila on Wednesday, June 21, passed resolutions to commend fashion designers and homegrown artists for their exceptional contribution to the city's milestones. | ManilaBulletin
Vice Mayor John Marvin “Yul Servo” Nieto presided over the regular session recognizing and citing the fashion designers as “Adopted Sons of Manila” for their outstanding performance during the city's first "Rampa Manila" held last June 20.Rampa Manila was the first fashion show featuring Filipino culture integrated into art and passion. It was held in Bulwagang Rodriguez at Manila City Hall.
The city council also awarded Vice Ganda, through Resolution No. 278, for her notable contribution as a stage performer in the recent "Unkabogable Concert," and "as a leading example to the LGBTQIA+ community and being an embodiment of the Manilenya Icon in the Philippine show business."The regular session ended with another city resolution awarding City Councilor Louciano “Lou” M.
