Mangia Mornings set to open in Saratoga March 16

Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch with Italian-American focus.

Owner Nicholas Miller is holding a grand opening March 16 for Mangia Mornings, a new downtown Saratoga restaurant that will serve breakfast and lunch with an Italian-American focus. “We have several coffee shops in Saratoga, but no place to get a real breakfast,” says Miller, who was raised in the city.

The breakfast menu leans to classic omelets with local flavor, including the Saratoga, which will pack in avocado, bacon, onion, mushroom, tomato and cheddar cheese, while the Wild Cat mixes it up with avocado, mushroom, jalapeno, sausage and jack cheese. Meat lovers will gravitate towards the Big Basin, loaded with sausage, bacon, ham and cheddar cheese, or the Supreme, with skirt steak, gruyere, onion, pepper and mushrooms.

Miller is planning a daily assortment of pastries, including cannoli, bomboloni, maritozzi, sfogliatelle and croissants.
