Royal Newfoundland Constabulary arrested a 31-year-old man in Conception Bay South on Sunday, Jan. 8. — Telegram fileCONCEPTION BAY SOUTH, N.L. — Police arrested a man with an outstanding parole warrant Sunday after he gave officers a fake name in a wooded area of Conception Bay South.
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person at a home in C.B.S. just before 11 p.m. and found a man in the woods near the home. When the man was questioned, police said he first gave officers a fake name, but the officers were able to confirm his true identity.The man was taken to the St. John's city lockup and was scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.
