KOTA KINABALU: A man stabbed his ex-fiancee eight times, killing her as she refused to get back with him.
The 33-year-old suspect, however, probably out of remorse, called the police himself and waited until they arrived at the scene.Kota Kinabalu Deputy OCPD Supt Kalsom Idris said the man had earlier met up with the woman, who works as a shop assistant at a shopping mall in the city centre, at about noon on Monday so that he could persuade her not to end their relationship.
“Because of that, the suspect, who was enraged, stabbed her eight times on the body, which led to her death,” she said in a statement. “Also found at the location was the suspect, who had been apprehended by a security guard at the mall,” she said. The woman, she said, was still breathing when paramedics arrived at the scene but the victim eventually succumbed to her injuries at 1pm.
