A motive for the Tuesday night shooting is under investigation.
OAKLAND — A 21-year-old man was shot multiple times Tuesday night in West Oakland, authorities said.The shooting happened about 7:21 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Eighth Street. The man told police he was in the area visiting a relative and was outside when someone began shooting at him, hitting him at least twice.The wounded man could not provide any suspect information to police and a motive for the shooting is under investigation. No arrests have been made.
