Man shot in thigh in City Heights [Breaking]
A 25-year-old man was shot in the leg in City Heights early Saturday morning, San Diego police said.
Officers received a radio call of a shooting in the area of 37th Street and Polk Avenue shortly before 4 a.m. but were unable to find a victim, police said. They did discover a possible crime scene in a nearby alley, marked by four shell casings and blood trails, police said. A victim was later located at Scripps Mercy Hospital, where he was being treated for a gunshot wound to the back of the right thigh. He was expected to survive his injuries, police said.
The victim and witnesses did not cooperate with police questioning and did not provide any further details about what happened, according to officials.
