A 59-year-old from Elizabeth Vale is in hospital after being shot in the leg during a home invasion in which three men broke into his house and demanded cash.

Police said three men forced their way into the victim's house on Willow Crescent, where police were called just after 7am.The victim's injuries are non-life-threatening, police said. "While a link between the victim and the suspects is undetermined at this time, it is believed to be a targeted incident," police said.
Investigations are ongoing and police have asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or online.
