Police were responding to a disturbance at the apartment complex when shots were fired.
Philadelphia police officers shot an armed suspect Saturday who first fired at them, according to the department.
Police say they learned the suspect was likely in a garage near the back of the building, on the 500 block of East Duval Street. That's when the police department says the two officers began firing; one of the bullets hit the suspect in the leg and exited through his went through his rear.
