A Malaysian man's curiosity led him to jail after he trespassed into a building in search of ghosts.
A 24-year-old man in Johor, Malaysia , has been sentenced to 3 months in jail for trespassing into an old building in search of paranormal activity. Muhammad Haikal Mesrol, a car wash assistant, admitted to breaking into the building belonging to a 66-year-old manager on December 21 around 7:10 AM. He removed wooden planks barricading the gate before entering. The building's owner reported the incident to the police, who arrested Haikal.
He was charged under Section 447 of the Penal Code (trespassing) and faced a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail, a fine of RM3,000, or both
