An 85-year-old woman has been charged over the death of a motorcyclist after a fatal crash in Toongabbie. 7NEWS

Police were told a silver Nissan Tiida collided with a motorcycle, which was pushed into another stationary vehicle at about 1.45pm on Friday.“Emergency services were called to Station Road, Toongabbie, following reports of a three-vehicle crash.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 57-year-old rider at the scene, before he was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.Following an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, police attended the 85-year-old woman’s home an hour later and placed her under arrest.She was then taken to Merrylands Police Station where she was charged with negligent driving occasioning death.A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
