Another man walking in the area of Saticoy Street near Hinds Avenue saw the victim’s body lying in the roadway at around 3:45 a.m.
The driver who hit him was not there — police said the victim’s injuries “were consistent with being hit by a vehicle traveling westbound Saticoy.” Police did not detail what injuries the victim had.
LAPD had no information on a suspect — officials said the city offers rewards of $50,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of suspects in crimes. The agency asked anyone with information about the crash to call detectives at 644-8033 or 644-8117.
