Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, where a male pedestrian in his 30s was killed after being hit by a lorry on the R245 at Magheranan. The driver of the lorry was uninjured. The road is closed for investigations.
Gardaí are appealing to the public for witnesses to a fatal collision that has claimed the life of a man in Letterkenny , Co Donegal on Friday morning. Gardaí say that the collision involved a male pedestrian, aged in his 30s, and a lorry on the R245 at Magheranan in the North Donegal town before 6am. He was pronouned dead at the scene while the driver of the lorry is reported uninjured.
The road is currently closed while technical examinations are carried out on the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and diversions are in place. A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána told the Irish Mirror in a statement: "Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. "Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R245 at Magheranan in Letterkenny between the hours of 5am and this morning are asked to make this footage available to Garda
