A 33-year-old man was arrested last week in the fatal shooting of a man in east Oak Cliff during a drug deal.
, near South Denley Drive. Officers did not get a response at the residence and did not see evidence of a crime, so they left, police wrote in an arrest-warrant affidavit. When officers returned, they found the door unlocked. Farmer was on the floor with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the home.Police found marijuana, THC wax and a bundle of money at the home, which was otherwise empty except for a dining room table. Investigators wrote in the affidavit that they believed the location was used to sell drugs.
Surveillance footage from the gas station showed the witnesses and suspect meeting up, then leaving about 11 p.m. in two cars, the affidavit says.
