A man in his 20's has been airlifted to hospital in a critical condition following the mass rescue of a group of swimmers at a popular Sydney beach.
Emergency crews were called to North Curl Curl in Sydney’s northern beaches just before 5pm, following reports five people were struggling in the water.
The Westpac Life Saver Helicopter winched the man in his 20’s from the ocean, with paramedics performing CPR before he was flown to Northern Beaches Hospital.A man has been airlifted to hospital in a critical condition after getting caught in a rip at a popular Sydney beach late Sunday afternoon. “They were treated for fatigue, hypothermia and exhaustion and taken to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition,” the spokesperson said."The female sustained some minor injuries but these two patients were not taken to hospital," the spokesperson said.
