The man suffered non-life threatening injuries following the alleged assault, which occurred at the corner of Deverell Place and Gardiner Street in Dublin 1 just after midnight in the early hours of Wednesday morning, Dublin Live report.READ MORE: Garda arrested over alleged banana harassment of fellow officer with phobia
Gardai and emergency services were called to the scene and the man was taken to a nearby hospital, where thankfully his injuries are not understood to be serious. In a statement, a garda spokesman said: "Gardaí responded to reports of an assault on Gardiner Street in Dublin 1 shortly after midnight on Wednesday 11th December 2024. A male was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment.
