Man freed after 30 years for wrongful rape conviction faces new rape charge after he's 'found attacking an unconscious woman on a footpath'
A MAN who served 30 years for a rape charge later overturned by the courts has been arrested over shocking new accusations of sexual assault, according to reports.
That ruling was overturned three years ago by Massachusetts Superior Court Judge Robert J Kane who cited flawed forensics and “fabricated physical evidence to frame" Perrot. He was arrested in 1985 accused of raping pensioner Mary Prekop at her home in Springfield, Massachusetts. The prosecution's case rested on faulty FBI analysis of a single hair found at the crime scene, the court ruled.
