Officials said they found a person dead inside a vehicle in east Houston, but signs suggest they were shot the night before.
Authorities are piecing together what led up to a person's death after their body was found inside a vehicle in eastAccording to Houston PD Watch Command, officers were called around 10 a.m. to the 8400 block of Bucroft near 610. Sergeant Mark Holbrook says residents came out and found a man dead inside an SUV and immediately called 911.Preliminary information is the man, approximately 42, was last seen arguing with a woman and her son right around midnight last night.
Neighbors reported hearing multiple gunshots, and they were so close, no one wanted to go outside to check on it, Holbrook says. Officials found multiple shell casings from an assault rifle outside the vehicle, so signs suggest he was shot the night before. An investigation remains underway to understand what led up to the shooting.
