Shortly before 12:30 p.m., Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the 9000 block of Neal Road, just northeast of Forney, Texas where they found a man who had been shot, said Investigator Scott Whitaker, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office.Deputies confronted a man, whom Whitaker described as the suspect, near the location, leading to a standoff that lasted less than an hour, Whitaker said.
