SIBU: A jobless man was found dead believed to have fallen down from the fourth floor of a shophouse in Bintangor on Saturday (May 30) night.
Bintangor district police chief DSP Sekam Anoi said Azi's daughter had told her aunt that her father, who was drunk, was standing on the ledge of the back window at about 9.30pm.
"At about 10.20pm, both were inside their room when they heard a loud thud. They quickly rushed down and were shocked to find the victim lying in a pool of blood on the ground," he said."A medical assistant at the clinic later pronounced him dead," he added. He said family members of the victim declined to have a post-mortem on Azi as they claimed there was no foul play involved.
"They believed his fall from the building was due to excessive drinking where he had drunk from afternoon to night time," he said.
