Man falls out of car on I-8; fatally struck by semi-truck [Breaking]
A 26-year-old man was killed Friday morning after he fell from the passenger seat of a car on Interstate 8 in La Mesa, according to California Highway Patrol officials.
The Santa Ana man was in a black Audi A4 that was heading west on I-8 near Severin Drive about 10:50 a.m. when, for unknown reasons, he got out of the front passenger seat while the car was still moving, officials said.Advertisement All lanes near the collision were closed for about an hour while officers conducted their investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the incident was asked to call the CHP at 401-2000 or Officer Jared Grieshaber at 401-2000.
