According to city hall personnel, the suspect fell from the third-floor window of the building after undergoing his inquest proceedings on Wednesday morning at the Manila Prosecutor's Office. Meanwhile, in the footage captured by closed-circuit television , the suspect was seen walking behind his police escorts in the hallway when he suddenly ran to the open window and jumped.The suspect was immediately rushed by the Manila Disaster Risk and Reduction Office to the Philippine General Hospital and is still undergoing medical treatment.
MPD said the suspect sustained deformities on his right leg, and lacerations on his chin and left eyebrow. It said Fernandez faces charges for violations of Republic Act 10591 of the Revised Penal Code , Article 155 , Article 258 , Article 266 , and Republic Act 9262 .
