SINGAPORE, March 29 — A young man’s TikTok video has gone viral after he popped the question to his girlfriend with an elaborate proposal that involved renting out a movie theatre and editing himself into scenes from the award-winning filmThe video, with some of the flourishes of a tear-jerking Hollywood romance, has captured more than 2.1 million views and 575,000 likes since it was posted on Sunday.
Le begins the video by sharing how he planned the whole thing: From booking a movie theatre room to editing a movie ticket, and duping his girlfriend Annie into thinking that they would be rewatching the original Everything Everywhere All at Once movie together. “What’s my line again?” he asks an imaginary director offscreen as Annie covers her mouth in disbelief.
