A 75-year-old man has died after a planned hazard-reduction operation on a property in New South Wales. 9News
The man was treated for severe burns by emergency services after they arrived on scene on The Bogan Way, in Forbes about 11.30am yesterday.
Police believe the man was conducting a hazard-reduction burn of one of his paddocks, with assistance from NSW Rural Fire Service members and family, when he became trapped by the fire.He was treated at the scene by the RFS members and paramedics, before being airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital.Police established a crime scene at the property, and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man's death.Police will prepare of a reporter for the coroner.
