A social media post warns about the dangers of exercising after a long day of work, citing the case of a friend who died from a heart attack during a two-hour workout.
Exercising is definitely one of the activities that need to be done to ensure that the body remains active and healthy. For some individuals, a workout routine after work can provide relief for them to release work stress from the office. However, this activity should be done in moderation and according to the body's capabilities, especially if it is too tired after a day of work.
A report from mStar, which went viral on social media, reported on an individual who died after exercising continuously for two hours at a gymnasium. Through a post on the X platform, the social media account owner informed that the death of their friend occurred while they were doing exercises after a tiring day of work. Worried about what happened, the individual advised the public not to overexert themselves to work out if their body is already exhausted due to a day of work. “Guys guys, please, if you've been working hard all day, don't force yourself to exercise at night. I just got news, my friend died yesterday from a heart attack while he was playing at the gym. “He had been working from morning until Maghrib, then continued to exercise for about two hours non-stop,” wrote the X user. A check at the National Library of Medicine found a 2022 study involving 3690 adults in the United States aged 20 to 40 about the relationship between night-time exercise and mortality risk. Of that number, 1800 individuals were active at night and the study found that 639 deaths were recorded among this group
