A man is dead after an argument over the purchase of shoes turned into a shooting in Houston's East End, police said.At about 8:24 p.m. Tuesday, Houston Police Department officers were called out to the 4300 block of Capitol Street after reports of a shooting.
HPD Lt. Larry Crowson said the victim had arrived at a home in the area, and an argument ensued over a shoe sales transaction. "Some kind of argument broke out over who was paying or how much was going to be paid," Crowson said. During the argument, the victim and the suspect took out their guns and began firing. The victim was shot in the arm. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.The area where the shooting happened includes Eastwood and Broadmoor, which is home to about 10,000 people, according to
