Sypho shot Huerta multiple times before assaulting his wife, who was an employee at the grocery store at the time, the attorney’s office said. He then broke into a safe at the store, the attorney’s office said. Huerta was in the area to bring dinner to his wife and to make sure that she was safe, the release stated.
During the trial, prosecutors said Sypho, another man who helped him with the crime, and two women who cased the grocery store were seen “on other videos” celebrating after the robbery. William Knight, a Tarrant County prosecutor, told jurors that Sypho’s actions were that of “a cold-blooded killer,” according to the Monday news release.. Hojun Choi covers breaking news.
