Police said the man ran onto the field during an injury timeout.

Police have charged a man they say hit an official at a midget football game in Lancaster County. Police said Keinan Clayter, 42, of Reading, walked onto the field during an injury timeout at the Cocalcio High School on Oct. 14. Police were called to the school because they said Clayter was 'yelling and swearing' at the opposing team's coaches.

'The sports official attempted to de-escalate the situation, and Clayter pushed and hit the official. Clayter fled before officers arrived, but an off-duty police officer was able to obtain Clayter's information and provided it to responding officers,' police said in a statement. The official refused medical attention. Clayter is waiting for a preliminary arraignment. He faces an assault charge.
