The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. Oct. 11 on Pollard Park, near East County Road 600 North and Raceway Road, just west of the Hendricks/Marion county line.HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. — A man was arrested on preliminary charges including kidnapping, strangulation and burglary after an incident at a Hendricks County subdivision Wednesday morning.
The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. Oct. 11 on Pollard Park, near East County Road 600 North and Raceway Road, just west of the Hendricks/Marion county line. , witnesses said they saw a male and female fighting in the road before the male forced the female into a white Chevrolet Cruze.
A passing driver took the woman to a gas station nearby, and the man fled the scene on Raceway Road, police said. Officers from multiple departments searched for the car but were not able to locate it. The woman told police the man had attacked her earlier at a home in the subdivision, strangling her and taking her phone.
The man was later located in Indianapolis and taken into custody, police said. He faces preliminary charges of felony kidnapping, felony criminal confinement, felony burglary, felony strangulations, felony theft and multiple misdemeanors.
