A 47-year-old woman was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to her leg.
PALO ALTO – Authorities on Tuesday arrested a 43-year-old man on suspicion of shooting a woman at Stanford University and later attempting to rob a grocery store in Palo Alto.
walked into the Trader Joe’s at Town & Country Village, located at 855 El Camino Real, and announced he was planning to rob the place, according to the Palo Alto Police Department. An investigation linked the man to the Stanford University shooting, which police said happened around 1 a.m. Tuesday in the eucalyptus groves at the campus. The man, identified as Robert Daniels, was turned over to the sheriff’s office, police said.Daniels was booked into county jail on a charge of attempted murder, Segura said.
