Authorities apprehended a 32-year-old man with a criminal record after he broke into a home in Taman Nesa, Skudai, and stole valuables. The incident occurred while the homeowners were at work.

A man has been arrested in connection with a housebreaking and theft case in Taman Nesa, Skudai . Johor Baru North OCPD Asst Comm Balveer Singh said the police received a report of the incident at 12.18pm on Thursday (Dec 26). The complainant, a 40-year-old foreign woman, stated that an intruder had broken through the gate of her compound and entered her home to steal valuables. Preliminary investigations revealed that the incident occurred while the complainant and her husband were at work.

ACP Balveer added that on Friday (Dec 27), at around 2.30pm, a team from the Johor Baru North District Criminal Investigation Department apprehended the suspect, a 32-year-old man. Further checks showed the suspect had a criminal record, but urine tests for substance abuse returned negative results. The suspect has been remanded for four days, from Dec 28 to Dec 31, following approval by the Johor Baru Magistrate’s Court.Earlier, a two-minute and 21-second video was posted on the “Info Kemalangan / Jenayah Terkini Seluruh Malaysia” Facebook page, showing a man breaking into a house and stealing the air conditioner
