A 22-year-old turned himself in after he allegedly shot and killed a man near Berkeley Lake Park on Monday.
On Monday afternoon, officers with the Denver Police Department received a call about a person who had been shot around Berkeley Lake Park near W. 46th Avenue and Tennyson Street. According to the caller, the person was put into a car and the driver then left the area.
As police investigated this call, they received a second call about a shooting victim who had been found near Andrews Drive and Dillon Street.Denver 7+ Colorado News Latest Headlines | December 28, 11am Based on the investigation, police determined that he was the victim of the shooting from W. 46th Avenue and Tennyson Street. The scenes are about 15 miles apart.The Office of the Medical Examiner will identify the victim.Piria is being held for investigation of first-degree murder.
