The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned a 46-year-old man, Olorunwa Atanda, before an Ado Ekiti Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing an 18-passenger capacity bus valued at N1.6m.

The police prosecutor, Sergeant Olubu Apata, told the court that the defendant, who is a mechanic, allegedly stole the Toyota bus belonging to one Mr Gbenga Agunbiade.

Apata also alleged that the defendant, on November 4, 2018, obtained the sum of N430,000 from one Mrs Olamide Adebayo, on the pretext of selling a car to her. The police prosecutor asked the court for an adjournment to enable him to study the case file and present his witnesses.
