A crash in Gilbert resulted in the deaths of a male passenger and an infant, according to police.
The crash, which happened in an area west of Elliot and Recker Roads, has left area residents in shock. FOX 10's Stephanie Bennett reports.Gilbert Police officials are investigating a crash Kath left two people dead, and sent a woman to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
"A truck was traveling westbound when it struck a red passenger car traveling eastbound as it made a left-hand turn to go north on Cole," read a portion of the statement. "The female driver of the car was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries," read a portion of the statement. "The driver of the truck was not injured but was arrested for possible impairment.As police investigate what happened, people living in the area say they are in disbelief.
Jason said his neighbor ran over to help, and tried to perform CPR on the infant until paramedics arrived.
