According to a tweet from Houston police, the officer stabbed was from an 'outside agency.' The officer's condition was not immediately known.
HOUSTON, Texas -- An off-duty officer with the Surfside Police Department is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed in front of a Subway.
Authorities responded to the call at a shopping center Wednesday around 7:50 p.m. in the 6100 block of Telephone Drive after investigators say the off-duty officer walked into the restaurant and saw a man exposing himself to other customers. According to officials, the officer tried to stop him, and that's when the two got into a fight that spilled outside.HPD told ABC13 at the scene that the officer lost a lot of blood but is expected to be OK.
