KUALA LUMPUR: A 41-year-old man has been detained in connection with the murder of a man in front of a shop at a public housing project in Cheras.
Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Mohamed Mokhsein Mohamed Zon said the suspect was detained at about 8pm on Thursday near the crime scene.
"The suspect, a lorry driver, has two counts in criminal record involving theft and criminal intimidation, as well as seven drug-related offences.The suspect has been remanded until Oct 15, he added. It was earlier reported that a 52-year-old man was found murdered in front of a shop at a public housing project in Cheras on Thursday."Witnesses claimed that the victim had been arguing with another man before the incident.Police are still investigating the motive behind the attack, he added.
