Mamelodi Sundowns could lose one of their legendary goalkeepers to the Zambian national team for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Mweene is currently Sundowns’ assistant goalkeeper coach where he’s learning from Wendell Robinson following his retirement.MAMELODI SUNDOWNS LEGEND MWEENE EARMARKED BY ZAMBIA
“The Football Association of Zambia is already working with his club in South Africa to see how they can have him just for the tournament in Ivory Coast,” said a source known to the publication. “The they will see another way going forward. They know his club still needs him but because they will need a break during the AFCON in Ivory Coast, maybe they can allow him to help him his country then,” added the source.MWEENE IS A RESPECTED LEGEND IN ZAMBIA
Mweene is a respected Zambian football legend having served the national team with distinction during his playing days.
