Pride of the Nation TanSriMichelleYeoh
To celebrate Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh’s success which saw her bagging several awards over the past few months, which then culminated in an Oscar nomination, Malaysians have been celebrating her achievements, from social media posts to putting up billboards.
Her phenomenal performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once allowed her to beat the other great nominees in the category. In a lighthearted manner, former finance minister Lim Guan Eng asked if tomorrow is a public holiday, considering how Malaysians love asking for public holidays whenever there is a big win.
According to Director of Julie’s Biscuits Sai Tzy Horng, the billboard is a tribute to Yeoh’s remarkable achievement in getting an Oscar nomination and also to her other accomplishments in her career.
