Malaysian singer Zubir Khan sees a collaboration with Indian hip hop artist Hip Hop Tamizha as a significant opportunity to enter the Indian music market.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian singer Zubir Khan sees a collaboration with renowned Indian hip hop artist Hip Hop Tamizha as an invaluable opportunity. Muhammad Zubir Mohamad Ali believes the collaboration will open doors for him to break into the Indian music market. “Last year I was invited to perform at his concert in Malaysia. After this we will collaborate again. “We have already been in touch and discussing it. But it’s still too early for me to share.

“All I can say is that something awaits our fans,” he said when met at the recent Suria FM x The Curve Merdeka concert. The 24-year-old singer drew attention during his performance at Hip Hop Tamizha’s concert in Malaysia last August. Zubir, who is also last year’s recipient of the Muhibbah award, does not deny that he has always dreamt of making a name for himself in India and bringing Malaysia’s name to the country. “It’s not easy for international singers to make a name for themselves in India, but it’s also not impossible. “It just so happens that the Tamil songs I have produced suit the tastes of the people there. “So I won’t give up hope. If I get the chance to create in India, Alhamdulillah,” he said.
